Ok!, so it may not have crossed your mind when you booked your photographer. What if, in the unlikely event that something goes wrong i.e. you trip over a cable or the photographers bag and injure yourself, or the photographer shoots the whole assignment with the lens cap on (something I would never do myself of course!, but I have heard of it), maybe there are technical difficulties with the camera and the whole shoot wasted everybody's time. Worth pointing out here though, that any professional photographer worthy of the name would have backup equipment!

Where would you as a client stand legally? Is your photographer fully insured?

I have extensive Public Liability and Personal Indemnity cover to a limit of £5m and can supply you with full details if requested. I have never in my career had to make use of it, but that's the whole point of having it isn't it?
