The 2016 Essex Craft & Design Show has now taken place. It was a great success and was visited by 8,800 people. Even the first day (Friday) was very busy in spite of the British weather's best efforts; It blew a gale, showered us with hailstone and rain from time to time and was very cold all the time. The remaining three days saw the temperature rise and pass without incident and we all had a great time, exhibitors and visitors alike. The organisation of the event was brilliant as always. Congratulations to Dave Shields, Jan Simon, Lester Mills, Hyde Hall staff and all the 'show friends' old and new.

I'll be exhibiting at the Essex Craft & Design Show, 29 April - 2 May. For me, this is definitely one of the highlights of my 'show' year.

The Essex Craft & Design show returns to RHS Garden Hyde Hall for its seventh year in 2016. The show is extremely popular with exhibitors and the public due to the quality of the work on show and the beautiful venue. Over forty artists, craftspeople and designer makers will be showcasing and selling fine art, photography, jewellery, ceramics, textiles and many more contemporary crafts.

Many artists will be carrying out informal demonstrations - so you can pick up inspiring ideas to create gorgeous craft pieces at home.

With this show taking place over the Bank Holiday weekend this will give you a chance not only to see some fantastic arts and crafts but also to see Hyde Hall on the brink on summer. The admission price includes both entry to the show and the gardens.

RHS members free, visit http://www.rhs.org.uk/Gardens/Hyde-Hall for all other admission prices.
